The laboratory of Chris Keating in the Chemistry Department, at The Pennsylvania State University, seeks to fill a postdoctoral research position in the area of bioinspired materials chemistry. The position requires a Ph.D. in chemistry or a related field of science or engineering. Candidates should have a strong publication record and experience in soft materials (e.g. aqueous phase coexistence, polymer solutions) and/or mineralization (e.g. mineral deposition and characterization by powder diffraction, electron microscopy, and vibrational methods). Additional expertise in enzyme reactions, emulsion science, and optical microscopy is desirable.
