Description

The Statistics Department at UC Irvine has a full-time position available for a Postdoctoral Scholar. The position requires a Ph.D. degree in statistics, economics or related fields. The position entails performing research in the areas of global economics, marketing analyses during COVID-19 pandemic or after pandemic in the US. In particular, the postdoc will assist Professor Qu to identify important marketing factors associated with online shopping, online competitions among retailers, and online recommender systems so effective individualized shopping strategies can be suggested and implemented.

This is a full-time position that includes benefits. The initial appointment will be for one year starting no later than August 2020, with extensions for further years dependent on the availability of extramural funding. The salary for the position is $52,000 but is also contingent on knowledge and experience and dependent upon UCI funding.
