The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry at the University of California, Santa Barbara invites
applications of qualified Postdoctoral Scholar applicants to work closely with the PI Han and a consortium of
collaborators in the fields of biophysics and magnetic resonance spectroscopy study of tau protein dynamics, assembly and aggregation. The focus of the study will be on the elucidation of shape propagation in pathological tau protein aggregation by dipolar EPR and NMR spectroscopy.
The Department of Chemistry and Biochemistry will be hiring one or two positions, depending on funding
availability. The Screening of applicants is ongoing and will continue as needed. Positions are full-time.

Applicants must either have a PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Physics or related fields OR be enrolled in a PhD program at the time of application.
A PhD in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Biophysics, Physics or related fields is required by time of appointment.
The expectation is that the prospective postdoctoral researcher has basic level experience and interest in protein biochemistry work and experience with various biophysical techniques, ideally including structural biology tools that may include dipolar EPR spectroscopy, NMR spectroscopy, or Cryo-EM.
