Pay Range: $60,450 - $62,400
Salary offers at Syracuse University will be based on education, experience, and relevant skills, as well as the academic or professional discipline of the position in the context of the home department, school, or college. Salary offers may also be influenced by prior relevant work or industry experience, where applicable. Faculty pay ranges are for 8.5 months’ salary unless otherwise specified.

The Mathematics Department at Syracuse University seeks to fill one 12-month Postdoctoral Scholar position. This is a one-year position with the possibility of reappointment for a second year.
Recent Ph.D. in an area of pure or applied mathematics or statistics
Strong potential in both research and teaching
Preference will be given to candidates whose research interests overlap and/or complement those of the existing faculty
Conducting research
Contributing to the intellectual life of the department
Mentoring graduate and undergraduate students
Teaching; the teaching load is 9 credits (3 courses) per academic year
