The Language, Cognition, and Development Lab (https://sites.uw.edu/lcdlab/, PI: Ariel Starr) in the Department of Psychology at the University of Washington is seeking a full-time postdoctoral scholar. Applications will be reviewed on a rolling basis until May 31, 2022. The preferred start date is between July and September 2022.

The postdoctoral scholar will be involved in a longitudinal project that investigates how spatial language contributes to spatial skill development and math achievement in young children. The postdoc will also have the opportunity to develop independent projects that are aligned with the general research interests of the lab.

This position is full-time (100% FTE), 12-months/year, with an initial term appointment of one year (12 months), with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and availability of funding. Salary will be commensurate with experience, and employee benefits will be provided. Postdoctoral scholars are represented by UAW 4121 and are subject to the collective bargaining agreement unless agreed exclusion criteria apply. Qualifications

(1) Ph.D. in psychology or related field with research interests in cognitive development,

(2) Strong background in developmental research, and

(3) Quantitative data analysis skills.
