POSTDOCTORAL SCIENTIST POSITION FOR UP TO YEARS TO WORK ON THE SNF-FUNDED BRIDGE-TYPE PROJECT: “TARGETED DELIVERY OF DRUGS AND VACCINE ANTIGENS IN VIVO USING A SAFE AND PROGRAMMABLE BACTERIAL CHASSIS”
We are looking for a flexible, enthusiastic and highly motivated postdoctoral scientist to join our international and dynamic team to work on the SNF-funded BRIDGE-type project: “Targeted delivery of drugs and vaccine antigens in vivo using a safe and programmable bacterial chassis.” Project partners are Markus Seeger from the University of Zürich and Nicolas Ruggli from the Institute of Virology and Immunology-IVI. Earliest starting date is September 2025.
Our lab works on host-pathogen interaction of pathogenic mycoplasmas and the development of innovative control measures. Mycoplasmas are fastidious, minimalistic and cell wall-deficient bacteria. The project focuses on the development of a Mycoplasma feriruminatoris vaccine chassis, its safety and heterologous expression of vaccine antigens.
