Tasks / Project Description: Within the current project, the effects of environmental chemicals on the development and function of the reproductive system as well as endocrine / metabolic systems will be studied with the frog as a model organism. Histological, molecular and biochemical methods will be applied. Other duties included are statistical data analysis and compilation of scientific reports (oral and written) in English.

Qualification Requirements: For employment as a postdoctoral student, you must have a doctorate, or a foreign degree that is deemed to correspond to a doctorate, in the life sciences (biology, pharmacology, medicine or equivalent). The degree must have been completed no more than three years before the end of the application period. If there are special reasons, the degree may be older than three years. Special reasons refer to leave due to illness, parental leave, trust assignments within trade unions etc.

Applicants must have proven good skills in animal experimental work, as well as histological, molecular and biochemical analysis methods. Personal qualities such as accuracy, sense of responsibility and ability to work both independently and in a group are important. The applicant must have very good oral and written knowledge of English.

Desirable / Other Qualifications:  Experience of aquatic model organisms (frog or fish), endocrine or reproductive toxicology is particularly advantageous.

Salary: Individual salary setting.

Admission: 2019-11-01 or by arrangement.
