Duties and Responsibilities

This is an exciting opportunity for an exceptional individual to provide academic and research leadership of the UCL Knowledge Lab, as a Professor in the department of Culture, Communication and Media, and as Director of the Lab.

The Lab is an established group, which undertakes world-leading research, offers successful Masters programmes, supervises a strong community of doctoral students and undertakes consultancy work. Its mission is to understand and to develop digital technologies to support and transform education, and beyond. The Director’s own world leading reputation, publications, and funding record may be from any field of research directly relevant to the Lab’s mission.

The successful candidate will provide outstanding academic leadership for the colleagues in the Lab, contributing to the academic life of the department and of Institute as a whole.

Interviews will be held in London.

Key Requirements

An eligible candidate should have a distinguished international reputation in the field. We are looking for someone with an exceptional record of research publications, a strong track record of income generation, extensive experience of teaching and management experience.
