A permanent position as Professor of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, based at the Department of Clinical Sciences Lund, Division of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care, combined with employment as a specialist physician/senior consultant at Skåne University Hospital.
Conduct independent research of a very high national and international standard in anesthesiology and intensive care.
Overall responsibility for education in Lund in the subject of anesthesiology and intensive care in the first and second cycle, especially for the Medical Programme.
Education assignments may also arise in other degree programmes within the Faculty.
Perform independent clinical duties at Skåne University Hospital (SUS), Intensive and Perioperative Care, Lund (IPV Lund).
Be a member of the IPV Lund management group and participate in the group’s work.
Be prepared to take on the assignment as head of the Division of Anesthesiology and Intensive Care.
Carry out duties normally associated with a professor, such as administration and elected office roles.
Represent the subject nationally and internationally and engage in external collaboration.
Demonstrated research and teaching expertise (Chapter 4, Section 3 of the Higher Education Ordinance).
Completed training in teaching and learning in higher education of at least five weeks (or complete within two years of appointment).
Physician with specialist expertise in anesthesia and intensive care.
Proficiency in Swedish at level C1 (CEFR) for medical practice.
General qualification requirements for teaching staff at Lund University: suitability and ability to satisfactorily carry out the duties of the appointment.
Very good research expertise and teaching expertise relevant to the subject (emphasis on research expertise).
Evidence of current, independent, high-standard international research.
Ability to secure competitive national and international research grants.
Proven ability to initiate and lead national and international collaborations.
Demonstrated ability in academic leadership and cooperation.
Ability and potential to develop academic and clinical activities.
Strong collaboration skills and ability to engage with society.
Teaching expertise demonstrated through teaching and supervision at all academic levels (emphasis on doctoral supervision).
Desired: Ability to implement research results in clinical activities.
