Job Description
The Department of Arabic Language and Literature at the United Arab Emirates University announces its desire to appoint a professor in the field of linguistics, as part of its efforts to enhance its academic staff with outstanding scientific competencies, in accordance with the highest international standards in scientific research, teaching and community service. Application Requirements: 1 The applicant must have a professorship (Professor Doctor) in Linguistics from a recognized university. 2 To provide a precise scientific CV that includes: ◦ University certificates obtained. Academic progression and the positions he held. Scientific research published in world-classed journals (Scopus). ◦ Participations in international scientific conferences. 3 Proven experience in university teaching, with reference to the courses he has taught, documenting any contributions to the development of academic programs. 4 It is preferable to have academic experience in prestigious foreign universities, whether by teaching or research cooperation. 5 Ability to participate effectively in community service, and provide quality initiatives that serve the university environment and the community environment. 6 Ability to use modern technology and strategies in education. Required Documents: • Detailed academic CV. • Certified copies of scientific certificates. • A detailed list of published research. • Proof of academic and teaching experience. • Any other supporting documents that enhance the applicant’s file.

Minimum Qualification
Must have a professorship in linguistics.

Preferred Qualification
The applicant must have a professorship (Professor Doctor) in linguistics from a recognized university. Preferably, academic experience in prestigious foreign universities, whether by teaching or research collaboration. He has a number of scientific papers published in world-classed journals (Scopus)

Expected Skills
Professor in linguistics, with academic experience in the rank of professor of at least 3 years, possesses skills in the use of technology and modern teaching methods, has research published in international journals and in the Q1 classification in Scopus
