Job Description
The Department of Arabic Language and Literature at the United Arab Emirates University announces an opening for a Professor of Classical Arabic Literature, subject to the following requirements: • A PhD in Arabic Literature, with a specialization in Classical Arabic Literature. • Exceptional university teaching experience and familiarity with modern teaching methods and strategies. • A distinguished academic record, including research published in Scopus-indexed journals, preferably ranked in Q1 and Q2. • Active and ongoing research activity, with a high H-index commensurate with the academic rank. • The ability to supervise graduate students and participate in the development of academic programs. • A collaborative, proactive, and institutional work ethic. • Active contribution to community service and scientific and cultural activities.
Minimum Qualification
A PhD in Arabic Literature, with a specialization in Classical Arabic Literature, experience in university teaching and modern teaching methods, and a distinguished research record that includes scientific publications in journals indexed in Scopus, preferably within the Q1 and Q2 classifications.
