Announcement of a Professorship for General Medicine at the Medical Faculty of the Johannes Kepler University Linz

At the Faculty of Medicine of the Johannes Kepler University Linz, a professorship for general medicine in the form of a private-law employment contract is possible for the first time ever, whereby additional practical work is expressly supported. The appointment is based on an appeal procedure according to § 98 Universitätsgesetz 2002. An evaluation of the professorship takes place for the first time after 5 years.

It will be the job of the job holder to represent and further develop the subject in teaching, research and health care in its full breadth. The professorship is linked to the management of the Institute of General Medicine. This line is initially limited to 5 years.

Application is a habilitation or habilitation equivalent qualification in the advertised subject. The detailed requirements are documented in a job profile which can be called up in the information box on the right.

In the context of the appointment procedure, the JKU provides for the possibility of additionally assessing the qualification (in particular the supply competence) by an on-site visit to the applicant's workplace.

In any case, the gross salary according to the collective agreement of the universities (salary grade A1) is granted as salary. With appropriate qualifications, an over-payment to be negotiated in detail is possible.
