Purpose of Appointment

The Clinical Professorship is intended to:

1. Recognise and encourage significant contributions to the University by medical clinicians.

2. Support medical clinicians who maintain an academic career alongside clinical duties.

3. Support the development of the School of Medicine educational programmes.

4. Maintain and develop relationships between the School of Medicine and affiliated teaching hospitals.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

• Be medical clinicians with permanent appointments at UCC-affiliated teaching hospitals.

• Meet the eligibility criteria outlined in the Clinical Professorship guidelines.

• Have academic contributions in teaching, research, or clinical leadership.

• Two referees able to comment on academic contributions
