Duties and responsibilities
- Coordinating and conducting teaching in oral history and memory studies on all study levels within the framework of study programs in Literature and Cultural Research (BA); Ethnology, Folkloristics and Applied Anthropology (MA); Folkloristics and Applied Heritage Studies (MA); Literature and Cultural Research (PhD) as well as related graduate and post-graduate schools.
- Supervising BA, MA and PhD students.
- Leading international research and development activities in the field of oral history and memory studies, ensuring the availability of the necessary resources for this purpose and supervising post-graduate students and academic staff involved in these activities.
- To take care of the formation of capable young scholars by involving them in R&D activities and providing opportunities for self-improvement.
- Developing of specialist terminology and didactical material on oral history and memory studies in the Estonian language.
- Participating in university management and institutional developing activities.
- Improving their skills in teaching, research and development and management.
- Participating in working groups and/or expert groups related to the promotion and implementation of their profession.
- Popularizing the field of oral history and memory studies.
