Clinical Pharmacology at Uppsala University focuses on:

  • Individualized drug therapy

Duties

  • Lead and develop research in clinical pharmacology

  • Contribute to undergraduate, postgraduate, and doctoral education

  • Supervise doctoral students and develop the research environment

  • Secure external research funding

  • Clinical work as a specialist physician in clinical pharmacology at Uppsala University Hospital

  • Stay updated in the field and collaborate with healthcare sector and society


Qualifications

  • Master of Science in Medicine and Swedish specialist certificate in clinical pharmacology

    • Applicants must submit an application to Socialstyrelsen for certification by the closing date if not already certified

  • Eligibility for professor appointment under Swedish Higher Education Ordinance (demonstrated research and teaching competence)

  • Documented ability to teach in Swedish and English

  • Research expertise: international-level publications, grant acquisition, and doctoral supervision

  • Teaching expertise: demonstrated experience and formal academic teacher training (≥10 weeks), including doctoral supervisor training

  • Clinical expertise: proven skills in patient care and clinical development

  • Leadership, administrative, and collaboration skills

  • Clinical expertise – experience in clinical practice, clinical development
