At the Faculty of Science of the Johannes Kepler University Linz is a professor for Theoretical Physics in the form of a private employee employment relationship to occupy the earliest possible. The employment takes place according to § 98 UG.

It is looking for a person with outstanding achievements in the field of condensed matter theory, in particular computer-aided optoelectronics, photonics and quantum information. The focus should be on optical, quantum optical and electronic properties of nanostructures, eg. B. semiconductor quantum dots lie. Research should include many-body quantum effects, such as the electron-photon and electron-electron interactions. Experience in developing multi-scale descriptions that combine theories of varying complexity is desirable. Examples of such theories are the density matrix theory for the description of light-matter and dissipative electron-phonon interactions and the maxwell theory for the propagation of electromagnetic fields.

Prerequisite is a habilitation or a comparable internationally recognized qualification.

There is a voluntary agreement for a salary above the collectively agreed minimum salary of currently € 71,822.80.
