Professorship for Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy of Childhood and Adolescence

This professorship is also particularly suitable for highly qualified early career researchers.

The professor is expected to represent the subject of clinical psychology and psychotherapy of childhood and adolescence in research and teaching. We are looking for a research personality (f/m/d) with an innovative research profile, who has a strong international reputation through relevant publications and can present successful acquisition of external funding. The research profile of the future position holder should be compatible with the research orientation of the Institute of Psychology as well as other thematically close research foci of the University of Freiburg.

In accordance with the licensing regulations for psychotherapists, the future professor will teach in the Bachelor's program in Psychology as well as the Master's program in Psychology, with a focus on Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy, and in particular represent the subject Clinical Psychology and Psychotherapy of Childhood and Adolescence.

The professor will lead the psychotherapy outpatient clinic for children, adolescents and their families at the Institute of Psychology. Previous experience with tasks and functions in the field of outpatient care of children and adolescents with mental disorders is desirable.

Prerequisites for the employment of Professors are a university degree, an outstanding dissertation and an excellent publication record. Substantial achievements and experience in academic research and teaching, at the level of a Habilitation according to the German academic system, are expected.

In addition, a license to practice in child and adolescent psychotherapy, a license to practice in psychological psychotherapy with additional qualification in the field of psychotherapy for children and adolescents, or an advanced postgraduate education that allows the candidate to acquire a corresponding certificate of competence in a timely manner is a prerequisite.
