The Faculty of Economics and Behavioral Sciences of the University of Freiburg invites applications for a

Professorship (W3) for Neurosciences in Human Movement Studies
in the Department of Sport Science and Physical Education. This professorship is also particularly suitable for highly qualified early career researchers.
Fulltime position, Start-date: At the earliest possible date.

The Professor will concentrate on neurophysiological aspects of human motor control and learning.

A sports-related expertise in human movement science is expected. In addition, the candidate needs to demonstrate a profound expertise in human-neurophysiology.

The focus should be on fundamental research in order to establish new connections to the existing activities in the neurosciences at the University of Freiburg. Collaboration with centres and activities in Freiburg is desirable, e.g. with the Bernstein Center for Computational Neuroscience or with the excellence cluster BrainLinks-BrainTools.

The Professor will teach courses in Human Movement Science in Bachelor and Masters Programes in Sport Science.

Required qualifications for successful employment as a professor are a university degree, pedagogic aptitude and an outstanding dissertation. Substantial achievements and experience in academic research and teaching, at the level of a Habilitation according to the German academic system, are expected.
