The Faculty of Business, Economics and Informatics of the University of Zurich invites applications for a
Professorship in Business Economics, with a focus on Personnel Economics and Economics of (Vocational) Education
starting in spring 2025. Candidates should hold a Ph.D. degree in business, economics or related fields, have an excellent record of academic achievements, and have the potential for internationally recognized research in the area of business economics, in particular personnel economics and economics of (vocational) education. They should have shown an interest in vocational education and training (in Switzerland or neighboring countries), they should have strong methodological skills and they should have a proven potential to develop a research field. Moreover, we expect an interest in attracting external funding, in knowledge transfer and in supporting the development of the Leading House “Economics of Vocational and Professional Education and Training”. Candidates should have a record of teaching skills and should bring an interest in supervising students at graduate and undergraduate level.
A successful candidate is expected to have high publication potential and be engaged in internationally recognized research in the area of business economics with a focus on personnel and education policies, have experience in teaching and have participated in knowledge transfer activities. The performance evaluation will be undertaken in line with DORA and the Open Science Policy of the University of Zurich.
