The Faculty of Law seeks to fill the following professorship at the earliest opportunity:

W3 Professorship in International Business Law

Leipzig University is seeking to appoint a professor of law (pay grade W3) who teaches and conducts research in the field of international business law and Anglo-American law (common law). Candidates should have a PhD or equivalent academic qualification in Anglo-American law and good knowledge of German private law and the German language. They will be substantially involved in the development of an English-language LLM programme. Involvement in the other LLM and specialisation programmes as well as in the Faculty’s moot court activities is encouraged. Participation in the University-wide research profile areas “Global Connections and Comparisons” and “Contested Order” is also welcome. Applicants should have experience in the acquisition of third-party funding.

The job holder’s rights and obligations are regulated by the Saxon Freedom of Higher Education Act (SächsHSFG) and the Saxon Service Regulations for Higher Education Institutions (DAVOHS). Applicants must meet the requirements of Section 58 SächsHSFG.
