The professorship is also suitable for post-doctoral researchers. In this case, a tenure track professorship (W1) will be taken. Tenure track professorships are usually initially limited to six years at the University of Heidelberg and, after a positive tenure evaluation, are permanently transferred to a W3 professorship. The evaluation statute can be accessed via the homepage of the department staff (http://www.uni-heidelberg.de/tenure-track).

Applicants are expected to represent the subject of systematic theology in its full breadth and ethics focus.

Prerequisites for admission are a university degree in theology, excellent promotion, for the W3 professorship also habilitation or habilitation equivalent achievements in systematic theology. For the rest, §§ 47 and 51.51b LHG BW apply.

The university aims for a higher proportion of women in those areas where they have been underrepresented. Qualified female scientists are particularly asked for their application. Severely disabled applicants will be given preferential treatment if they are equally qualified.
