Position summary

Our core ambition is to develop more accessible vaccine technologies to address global vaccine equity issues. We are looking to recruit the best team members to join our efforts to achieve this goal. We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated experienced Research Assistant to join our vaccine research team funded by SFI. The research builds on our significant expertise in developing and commercialising novel vaccines and delivery platforms.

The scientist will have at least 2 years of expertise in vaccine production and some immunology expertise to support and conduct research on understanding the induction of systemic and mucosal immunity. The scientist must have strong experience in producing virus-based and/or protein antigens for subsequent pre-clinical studies and preferably in assessing immune responses. The candidate must also possess excellent communication, planning, organising, team working, practical, problem solving, and record-keeping skills. The scientist must have a proven track record in supporting a vaccine development team focused on vaccine-induced immunity in human and/or large animal pre-clinical models.

Project Title: Induction of Broad Immune Responses by Non-injected Stable Vaccines

Post Duration: 30 months

Salary: €27,380 - €36,786 p.a. (IUA Salary Scale)
