Research Assist­ant - per­man­ent pos­i­tion acc. to MAVO - salary grade E 13 TV-L Ber­liner Hoch­schu­len

Work­ing field:

  • Man­age­ment of X-ray ana­lyt­ical labor­at­or­ies (organ­iz­a­tion, devel­op­ment)
  • Oper­a­tion and fur­ther devel­op­ment of the ana­lyt­ical labor­at­ory net­work at TUB and in the Ber­lin area
  • Inde­pend­ent research in the field of Applied Geo­chem­istry (acquis­i­tion and man­age­ment of research pro­jects)
  • Inde­pend­ent teach­ing of under­gradu­ate and gradu­ate stu­dent courses
  • Super­vi­sion of Bach­elor and Mas­ter theses

Require­ments:

  • Suc­cess­fully com­pleted uni­versity degree (Mas­ter, Dip­lom or equi­val­ent) and PhD in Applied Geosciences or Geo­tech­no­logy
  • At least three years of sci­entific and pro­fes­sional prac­tical work in a full-time employ­ment pos­i­tion
  • Pro­fes­sional know­ledge in quant­it­at­ive X-Ray ana­lyt­ics (XRD/XRF)
  • Record in inde­pend­ent the acquis­i­tion of third-party fund­ing
  • Sci­entific pub­lic­a­tions in inter­na­tion­ally renowned journ­als
  • Teach­ing exper­i­ence in pet­ro­logy and solid-state ana­lyt­ics with very good teach­ing eval­u­ations
  • Suf­fi­cient lan­guage pro­fi­ciency to teach classes in both Ger­man and Eng­lish is expec­ted
  • Exper­i­ence in per­son­nel man­age­ment and lead­er­ship
