Research Assistant in Medicine

University of Cambridge Department of Medicine

United Kingdom

Applications are invited from enthusiastic, motivated and experienced scientists to join Dr Murray Clarke's group, based within the Department of Medicine at the University of Cambridge. This full-time post is funded via a British Heart Foundation Senior Fellowship. The Clarke Laboratory (http://www.med.cam.ac.uk/clarke/) investigates novel mechanisms that regulate inflammation and the immune system, particularly within the vasculature, which drives diseases such as atherosclerosis and aneurysm.

The duties include performing experimental procedures, general laboratory administration, record keeping and maintenance duties associated with the project. Previous experience with molecular biology, cell biology, and immunology and familiarity with flow cytometry, primary cell culture and immunoassays would be desirable - especially in relation to cardiovascular or immune systems.

Informal enquiries directed to Dr Murray Clarke (mchc2@cam.ac.uk) are encouraged.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 March 2022 in the first instance.
