Job Summary
The Speech, Language and Hearing Sciences Laboratory in Indianapolis, Indiana is seeking a Research Assistant to join our team. The Research Assistant will be responsible for recruitment and data collection for NIH-funded projects on language learning. The position involves occasional duties outside of the laboratory (1-2 x per month), which may include travel to our university laboratory in West Lafayette, IN, and participation in community recruitment and outreach activities.
This is a limited-term duration position for a single year with renewal contingent on performance and availability of funds.

Required
Education and Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in a related field.
- Six months of experience in a professional, volunteer, or research setting involving early childhood and/or older adults in health, cognitive, and/or language-focused research.
Skills Needed

- Meticulous attention to detail.
- Able to work independently and in a team.
- Excellent time management and well-organized.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Ability to accommodate the communication needs of individuals across different ages, individuals from a variety of backgrounds and individuals with varying communication skills.
