Senior Research Assistant/Research Assistant I in the Department of Social Work and Social Administration (2 posts) (Ref.: 512275) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Psychology, Social Sciences or other related disciplines, with three years’ post-qualification experience; or a Master’s degree in the aforementioned disciplines with one year’s post-qualification experience.  They should have high proficiency in written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese), skills in analytical evaluation and generation of practical solutions, and the ability to work independently and as a team player.  Those with post-qualification work experience in social sciences research projects and knowledge in data analysis are highly preferred.  Applicants with lower qualifications and/or less management and research experience may be considered for appointment as Research Assistant I.

The appointees will join the Jockey Club JoyAge Project to assist the Project Director and the Project Managers in managing, coordinating and implementing research activities for elderly mental health services, overseeing data collection, drafting reports, and performing any other relevant tasks assigned.  They will have ample opportunities to work with Clinical Psychologists, Social Workers, other mental health professionals, and various stakeholders in the local community.
