Research Assistant I/II in the Department of Sociology (Ref.: 500677) (to commence as soon as possible for one year, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance and funding availability)

Applicants should possess a Bachelor’s degree or above in Social Sciences, Media Studies/Cultural Studies or any Humanities-related discipline. They should have an excellent command of written and spoken English and Chinese (including Cantonese); be excellence in analytical evaluation and field work to execute reflexive analyses in social sciences research; and have ability to work independently and as a team.

The appointee will assist Professor Pun Ngai in coordinating and implementing research activities of her project on Hong Kong Youth Employment and Poverty; and perform any other relevant tasks as assigned.  The appointee will have ample opportunities to work with research professionals, media professionals, as well as stakeholders in the community.
