The Jockey Club School of Public Health and Primary Care is one of the major schools of public health in the Asia-Pacific region, committed to excellence in education and research in public health and primary care. It maintains strong international connections with schools of public health, government departments and centres of disease control in the Chinese mainland. Applicants should have (i) a Ph.D. degree in public health or medicine (including but not limited to fields such as Environmental Health, Environmental Epidemiology or related disciplines); (ii) a track record of research outputs that meet the RAE 2020 assessment grading of 3* and/or 4* or the equivalent in the latest RAE; (iii) substantial postdoctoral experience in relevant area(s); (iv) a strong commitment to excellence in research and teaching; (v) ample experience in above research area(s) as evidenced by publications in international journals; and (vi) a strong sense of responsibility and team spirit.
The appointee will (a) apply for, in capacity as Principal Investigator/Project Coordinator, RGC grants (or other external grants of similar size and status) every year; (b) participate in and/or develop independent and/or collaborative research projects; (c) coordinate research projects and publish peer-reviewed papers; and (d) be involved in teaching, student supervision and related administrative duties.
Appointment will initially be made on contract basis for up to three years commencing as soon as possible, renewable subject to good performance, funding availability and mutual agreement.
