Applications are invited for appointment as Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Medicine (Ref.: 499039­­­­), to commence as soon as possible, on a three-year fixed-term basis, with the possibility of renewal subject to satisfactory performance. 


Applicants should possess a Ph.D. degree in Biomedical Sciences, Health Sciences, Statistics or a related field.  They should demonstrate a strong passion for scientific and clinical research with a solid track record of high-quality publications in medical science research, preferably related to big data analysis.  Applicants should also have sound training in biomedical research methods as well as advanced statistical analysis.  Good command of English, good interpersonal and communication skills and proficiency in analytical software are required.  The appointee is expected to conduct independent and collaborative projects involving the application of big data in biomedical research. 


A highly competitive salary commensurate with qualifications and experience will be offered, in addition to annual leave and medical benefits.  At current rates, salaries tax does not exceed 15% of gross income.  The appointment will attract a contract-end gratuity and University contribution to a retirement benefits scheme, totalling up to 15% of basic salary.
