The Social-Cognitive and Affective Development Lab at the Department of Psychology at the University of Florida, College of Liberal Arts and Sciences, invites applications for a position to be filled at the rank of Research Assistant Scientist for a start date of February 20, 2020. This is a twelve-month, time limited, nontenure-accruing position, to be renewed on a year-to-year basis, contingent on funding. The salary is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience, and includes a full benefits package.

Qualifications

Applicants will have a Ph.D. in Psychology and/or Neuroscience or complete their Ph.D. by February 20, 2020. We encourage applications with expertise in neuroimaging (functional magnetic resonance imaging including neurofeedback), in the context of experimental cognitive and socioemotional aging research and a strong background in methods and statistics, including advanced statistical modeling (e.g., multilevel modeling) and analysis of neuroimaging data. Experience with eye tracking methodology and fluency with various experimental and data analytic software (e.g., MATLAB, SPM, FSL, Data Viewer, R, SPSS, and Stata) are especially encouraged.
