Research Assistant, UCD School of Physics (Temporary post to February 2021)

Applications are invited from suitably qualified persons for the post of Research Assistant in energy harvesting in the UCD School of Physics. The position is a Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland (SEAI RD&D) funded project, the role will involve laboratory work to accomplish the project.


The appointed ‘Research Assistant’ will focus on the generation of new materials based on the use of opto-thermoelectric nanomaterials and related processes for energy harvesting. Through the project, the structure-property-function relationship will be studied in detail, especially with respect to optimising the transformation of light energy into electrical energy.


Salary Range: €21,890 - €34,612 per annum

Appointment on the above range will be dependent upon qualifications and experience.
