Salary
£27511 to £40322 per annum (pro rata if applicable) depending on skills and experience (minimum £30942 with relevant PhD). Salary progression beyond this scale is subject to performance

A Research Associate/Fellow is required to undertake research on a Crop Trust funded programme to transfer wild relative introgressions into durum wheat in the introgression programme at The University of Nottingham/BBSRC Wheat Research Centre. The work will focus on the detection and characterisation of material generated both at Nottingham and by our collaborators at CIMMYT (Mexico), ICARDA (Morocco) and the Indian Institute of Wheat and Barley Research. The successful applicant will work closely with the grant holders, Professors Ian and Julie King.

Candidates with a background in any of the following areas are encouraged to apply:  molecular markers, genotyping, cytogenetics, microscopy and plant breeding/plant maintenance .

Applicants must have a BSc and PhD (or be studying towards) in a relevant subject.

This post is available on a fixed term contract until 30th September 2020. Hours of work are full time (36.25 hours). Job share arrangements may be considered.
