Applications are invited for a Post-Doctoral position available on the Square Kilometre Array (SKA) project, Dept of Physics & Astronomy, University of Manchester. The IRIS SKA Scientific Computing Officer will work within the UK’s STFC scientific computing infrastructure, IRIS, to support, develop and refine the technical requirements of the UK SKA science community. This work will feed into the design of a common compute environment to be deployed across the wider international SRC network, including site-level software, middleware, top-level software, AAAI, standardised compute models for common astronomy processing tasks, data product quality assurance and standards adherence.
