Applications are invited for a highly motivated research associate to join the laboratory of Dr Raman Das. You will exploit cutting-edge live tissue imaging techniques to dissect the mechanisms of primary cilium mediated signalling during vertebrate neurogenesis.


This MRC funded position is available for 6 months (in the first instance). You should have recently obtained (or shortly expect to gain) a PhD in cell biology or a related field. Experience with cell-biological and imaging techniques would be an advantage, as would an interest in the cellular mechanisms directing neuronal differentiation and primary cilium-mediated signalling. You will benefit from hands-on training and close interaction with the principal investigator and will benefit from the world-class facilities available in the lab and at the University of Manchester.
