The Department of Radiology at the Perelman School of Medicine at the University of Pennsylvania seeks candidates for a Research Associate position in the Academic Support Staff. This appointment will be initially for one (1) year and continuation during that time period and renewal are based on satisfactory performance and availability of funding (limited to three (3) years). Applicants must have a Ph.D. degree. This position requires a minimum of three years of postdoctoral research experience.
Responsibilities may include conducting experiments related to the development of PET radiotracers and their imaging applications to preclinical studies of CNS disorders. A particular emphasis will be placed on carbon-11 and fluorine-18 radiolabeling methods. Our laboratory has a rich history of developing leading experts in PET radiochemistry. Ample opportunities will be available for independent and collaborative research with other laboratories at this and other universities. Experience with clinical and/or small animal PET imaging data analysis is a plus.
The successful applicant will have an opportunity to develop an individual training experience in research that allows the individual to attain personal career objectives while developing a career in an academic setting.
The Research Associate will be expected to collaborate with other members of the lab in their research areas and provide contributions to further development of the research program.
