Research Associate

(salary level E13 TV-L, 100%)

This fixed-term post will begin on 3 February 2020 and is available for a 20-month period. Currently, the regular full employment time is 39 hours and 50 minutes per week. All posts can, as a rule, also be filled as part-time positions if there are no compelling work-related reasons against doing so.

The scope of duties relates to combining carbene catalysis with electron catalysis.

The following requirements must be met:
The successful candidate is required to have a PhD degree in chemistry with a focus on organic chemistry and is expected to do experimental work in the laboratory. The candidate is also expected to have experience in using general laboratory techniques (working under argon atmosphere, conducting low-temperature experiments) and in applying standard analytical methods (LC, GC; GC-MS, HPLC, NMR spectroscopy and mass spectrometry). In addition, the candidate should have a good knowledge of theory in organic synthesis.
