Applications are invited for a research associate or senior research associate to join a world-renowned mouse genetics laboratory lead by Professor Allan Bradley in the Department of Medicine at the University of Cambridge. You will have the opportunity to contribute to a major genetic engineering project to humanize key components of the cellular adaptive immune system with the potential of therapeutic and vaccine development application.

We are looking for an experienced cellular immunologist with an interest in translational research, to functionally characterize the mouse models that are being created and subsequently perform proof of principle experiments. With a view to potential therapeutic application, a background in tumour biology and immunotherapy will be particularly relevant. The successful applicant will need to work with a high degree of independence and be able to present their approaches and data in a clear manner.

There will also be opportunity to practice genome engineering techniques that are the mainstay of the lab, with appropriate support.

Fixed-term: The funds for this post are available until 31 October 2023 in the first instance.
