Duties and responsibilities

The synthesis of shape-controlled nanoparticles with and without carbon support, electrochemical deposition of metals onto various supports and the electrochemical characterisation of these catalysts. Planning and conducting new research, analyzing and publishing the results. Conducting seminars and practice classes in colloid chemistry. Supervising Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD theses.

Required qualifications

PhD or an equivalent qualification.

Required experience

The candidate should have at least 5 publications in internationally distributed academic journals during last two years. The candidate should have research experience and skills in the synthesis shape-controlled nanoparticles, electrodeposition, in characterization of the obtained material´s surface and electrocatalytic properties and in analyzing the data from different electrochemical and surface analysis methods. Candidate should also have experience in supervising the PhD students and conducting practice classes in university.

Required language skills

Good Estonian language. The candidate's English skills must be sufficient for the work in the specific research area.
