The Opportunity

The Faculty of Medicine, Nursing and Health Sciences, is the largest faculty at Monash University, and offers the most comprehensive suite of professional health training in Victoria. We consistently rank in the top 40 universities worldwide for clinical, pre-clinical and health sciences.

The School of Primary and Allied Health Care (SPAHC) aims to be Australia’s leading centre of primary and allied health care education and research, building on existing strengths, and incorporates two new research centres: the Monash Addiction Research Centre, and the Rehabilitation, Ageing and Independent Living (RAIL) Research Centre. The primary purpose of this position is to manage an NHMRC funded research project investigating falls prevention practices and translation of evidence into practice using a newly developed research approach.

Based at our Peninsula Campus and reporting to a supportive Head of School, the Research Fellow will be required to develop and implement standardised operating procedures for trial conduct across multiple hospital wards across a range of health services, along with leading trial communications, participating in data monitoring, analyses and communication of results. Other tasks associated with the research, such as development of research agreements and ethics committee approvals, will also be required.

This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a meaningful research project within a growing and forward-looking department which has continually advanced since inception. The successful applicant will have a doctoral qualification in the relevant discipline area or equivalent qualifications or research experience.

This role is a full-time fixed-term position; however, flexible working arrangements may be negotiated.

At Monash University, we are committed to being a Child Safe organisation. This position at the University will require the incumbent to hold a valid Working with Children Check and a satisfactory Police Check.

Your application must address the selection criteria. Please refer to "How to apply for Monash Jobs"
