Research Fellow in Single Brain Cancer Cell Nanobiopsy

Are you an ambitious researcher looking for your next challenge? Do you have research experience in single cell imaging and nanobiopsy?

You will be a post-doctoral researcher with experience in electrochemistry and nanotechnology with an interest in cancer research. You will work on a project focused on use of single cell nanobiopsy technology for the sequential molecular profiling of brain cancer cells in vitro.

You will work both independently and as part of a larger team of researchers, within a project funded by The Brain Tumour Charity at the University of Leeds, led by Dr Lucy Stead (School of Medicine) and Dr Paolo Actis (School of Electronic and Electrical Engineering).

The project is based in laboratories on the St. James’s University Hospital campus and on the main University campus but may involve liaison with, and potential research visits to, the Technical Development Group headed by Dr Iain Macaulay at the Earlham Institute in Norwich. Working closely and interactively within a collaborative project team across sites you will need excellent communication skills.
