Position Summary
The Department of Radiology at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill is recruiting for a Research Instructor. The applicant should have a strong background in developing computational tools for computer-aided treatment planning of craniomaxillofacial (CMF) surgery and radiation therapy with multi-modal medical imaging data. The applicant should demonstrate the ability to write successful grant proposals.
Educational Requirements
Educational Background: PhD in Computer Engineering or Computer Science
Qualifications and Experience
The successful applicant is expected to have extensive experience in the following research areas:
*Large-scale anatomical landmark digitalization, detailed CMF bony structure segmentation, cross-modality medical image synthesis for 3D model generation and deformity evaluation in computer-aided CMF surgery planning;
*Learning-based reference CMF model generation and cross-domain prediction between soft-tissue surface and 3D bony skeleton for adaptive and tailored CMF surgery planning;
*Automated organs at risk delineation in (CB)CT images and radiomics-based early prediction of treatment outcomes for computer-aided radiation therapy planning.
