Focus: Health and environmental research, integrating structural biology, cell biology, and translational medicine
Cryo-EM Unit Stockholm node: Part of cryo-NET, equipped with Titan Krios (G2 & G3i), Talos Arctica, Chameleon sample freezer, Leica Cryo Thunder, micropatterning systems, and advanced detectors for single-particle and tomography
Maintain high-end cryo-EM instruments in collaboration with system engineers
Train and support users in sample preparation and data collection (single particle and tomography)
Advise on data processing and analysis, implementing state-of-the-art pipelines
Develop cryo-ET and volume EM capabilities (e.g., plasma FIB-SEM) and correlative workflows with advanced light microscopy
Collaborate with researchers across Sweden and the Nordic countries on molecular, cellular, and systems-level biology projects
Mandatory:
Doctoral degree (or equivalent) in structural biology, biophysics, cell biology, or related field
Practical experience in high-end cryo-EM operation for single particle or tomography/subtomogram averaging
Strong technical, communication, and teaching skills
Preferred / Advantageous:
Experience with volume EM or micro-ED
Enthusiasm for user training and collaborative research
Full-time, permanent position
