Exciting Opportunity for a Skilled Lab Technician at Soderling Lab, Duke University 


Are you passionate about life sciences and eager to contribute to groundbreaking research? The Soderling Lab is a cellular neuroscience lab at Duke University and is currently seeking a dedicated, talented, and motivated Lab Technician to join our dynamic team. This is an exceptional opportunity to work in a state-of-the-art facility alongside leading researchers while honing your skills in molecular cloning, mouse behavior, protein purification, and proteomics. 



· Conduct experiments related to molecular cloning, mouse behavior, protein purification, and proteomics under the supervision of the Principal Investigator (PI) and other senior lab members 

· Assist in the design and implementation of new protocols and techniques 

· Maintain accurate records of experiments, results, and observations 

· Contribute to lab meetings and collaborate with colleagues to ensure project objectives are met 

· Perform routine lab maintenance, including ordering supplies, maintaining equipment, and ensuring a safe and clean work environment 

· Contribute to mouse colony management 



· Bachelor's degree in Biology, Biochemistry, or a related field (Master's degree preferred) 

· Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in molecular cloning, mouse behavior, protein purification, and proteomics 

· Strong understanding of laboratory safety and best practices 

· Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently or as part of a team 

· Strong written and verbal communication skills 

· Familiarity with standard laboratory equipment and software
