Position Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized individual to serve as an Outreach Specialist-Fixed term for the STRIDE Center, a community-based Center to support underserved individuals with disabilities who are seeking transition support.

This position will start in December 2022 and will be renewed annually based on available funding. Duties and responsibilities:

• Managing all center-related activities, including;
• Providing training and clinical supervision over center staff, including performance reviews;
• Providing clinical services as needed;
• Managing center schedule, clinical in-take, program offerings, and staff scheduling;
• Organizing and communicating information with the team and relevant stakeholders (clients and families) in a timely manner;
• Leading budget reviews, monitoring budget forecasts, spending and re-budgeting;
• Developing center materials and preparing related documentations with the team;
• Collaborating with other project managers/coordinators to conduct all center meetings to review pending projects, team goals/timelines;
• Managing product delivery and preparation of reports to funders, partners, and the public to maximize use and impact;
• Database management including tracking service delivery and monitoring client progress;
• Building and managing strategic partnerships and relationships with community partners and stakeholders;
• Ensuring center compliance and improving the quality assurance of center procedures;
• Leading strategic planning for the team and individual members;
• Managing oversight of branding materials for publicizing work and raising visibility;
• Performing related work as assigned and appropriate based on the specific interests and expertise of the selected candidate.

The STRIDE Site Coordinator will oversee staff and graduate assistants of the team to ensure all project progress. We are seeking a person who is excited to be a member of an interdisciplinary, dynamic and motivated group, and who is driven by a desire to produce and provide high-quality services aimed at driving improvements for individuals with disabilities. The position, which include benefits, is a fixed term annual, 100% time position beginning December 1, 2022 with the potential potential for renewal in the College of Education.

Masters -Rehab, Counseling, Psych or related field

Desired Degree

Other -LPC, CRC or BCBA

Minimum Requirements

• A master’s degree in rehabilitation, counseling, psychology, disability studies, education, allied health, social work, social science or related field;
• Professional experience in project coordination;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite products;
• Highly motivated, self-directed and extreme attention to detail;
• Strong organizational, management, and problem solving skills;
• Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills;
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external team members;
• Ability to manage multiple project tasks and competing priorities while maintaining flexibility;
• Willing to travel and be flexible with working hours.

Desired Qualifications

• Project management, including developing and maintaining project timelines with contingency plans, coordinating the work of others, and ensuring project deliverables are met to a high standard for quality and accuracy;
• Hold professional credentials such as Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC in Michigan), Certified Rehabilitation Counselor (CRC), or Board Certified Behavior Analysis (BCBA)
• Knowledge or interest in partner-orientated special education and rehabilitation research;
• Experience working in career counseling and related areas;
• Experience working with individuals with disabilities;
• Experience with data collection and analysis activities across a large team;
• Experience in communication/marketing and community outreach.
