Duration: 17 months
Based at Jigsaw Insurance Services PLC in Harrogate, you will be part of a Knowledge Transfer Partnership (KTP) between Jigsaw and the University of York, developing real-time analysis of vehicle drivers for the insurance industry.
This is one of two posts available on this KTP. You will be involved in developing machine learning and computer vision solutions to identify the vehicle user, analyse the driver’s performance and detect accidents in real time. This involves the live analysis of visual, motion and other sensor data to determine critical events. You will be expected to identify appropriate cutting-edge technologies and use them to develop methods to solve these problems. The other post involves the development of a processing platform to support the data analysis and you will work closely with this associate to deploy your methods. You will be employed by the University of York, and supported by University academics, but will be based at Jigsaw’s site in Harrogate and will work closely with their Analytics team.
The post is full-time and is for 17 months.
The salary is £38,017, fixed for the project duration. There is also an additional £2,000pa available for personal training and development.
