The Department of Information and Library Studies is seeking a Researcher in Instructional Design for the OPTAK project, bridging user research and instructional design.
The role focuses on developing innovative STEM modules in 3D, VR, and XR environments, ensuring pedagogical effectiveness, user-friendliness, and data-driven learning outcomes.
Design and test learning scenarios and modules for theoretical and practical STEM education in 3D, gamified, and VR environments
Conduct target audience needs assessments, design prototypes, and lead validation efforts
Collaborate with UI/UX teams to ensure interface usability and pedagogical effectiveness
Support pilot implementations: gather feedback, evaluate usability, and analyze learning outcomes
Prepare technical documentation: content structure, user pathways, and research data sources
Develop methodologies, frameworks, and recommendations for STEM-focused instructional strategies
Contribute to dissemination: conduct workshops, give presentations, and co-author professional publications
Education & Experience:
Master’s degree (completed or ongoing) – required
Previous experience in instructional design – an advantage
Language Skills:
English (at least B2)
Excellent Czech (written and spoken)
Professional Competencies:
Experience in instructional design and learning scenario development
Experience in user research or evaluation of educational solutions (user testing, interviews, feedback analysis)
Strong understanding of didactic principles, adaptive learning, and learning evaluation
Analytical and synthesis skills, with qualitative and quantitative research experience
Excellent communication and collaboration skills for interdisciplinary teams
