The Department of Information and Library Studies is seeking a UX Researcher for the OPTAK project, developing an innovative educational solution combining gamification, adaptive learning, and advanced technologies (3D/VR/XR/AI).
The researcher will lead user research throughout the project lifecycle, covering:
Developing research plans and methodologies
Testing prototypes at early and advanced stages
Evaluating the final system prior to deployment
Research will span web, desktop, mobile, and immersive VR environments, targeting a diverse user base: primary and secondary school students, educators, and subject-matter experts.
Plan, conduct, and evaluate user research on courses, learning modules, interfaces, interactions, and educational scenarios
Design testing methodologies: define research questions, select metrics, create research plans, and choose methods
Test concepts, prototypes, and final solutions across multiple platforms
Lead user testing sessions and interviews with diverse groups
Collect, analyze, and interpret usability and behavioral data
Support participatory design via workshops and user involvement
Collaborate with developers, designers, and researchers on iterative improvements
Education & Experience:
Master’s degree (completed or ongoing) – required
Previous experience in user research – an advantage
Language Skills:
English (at least B2)
Excellent Czech (written and spoken)
Professional Competencies:
Experience in planning, moderation, analysis, synthesis, and communicating research results
Proficiency in qualitative methods (interviews, testing, workshops) and basic quantitative methods (surveys, metrics, statistics)
Ability to translate research data into actionable design recommendations
Systematic approach to research planning, documentation, and ethics
