The Department seeks a research appointee to conduct academic research in collaboration with faculty or research teams. The focus of research includes:
Imaging cerebral cavernous malformations
Identifying plasma biomarkers related to biologic activity
Applying this knowledge to diagnose cerebral microbleeds in the aging brain
Responsibilities include:
Conducting research experiments and data analysis
Assisting with ongoing grant applications and applying for independent funding opportunities
Managing collaborative research with internal and external labs
Doctoral degree (Ph.D., M.D./Ph.D., or equivalent) in neuroscience, vascular biology, biomarker science, or related discipline
Completion of postdoctoral training
Strong research background in MRI quantitative data postprocessing, computational biology, and statistical approaches to biomarker research
Experience with mouse models of disease
Expertise in histopathology
Knowledge of spatial transcriptomics
