Job description:
The new hire will develop new bioinformatics and statics models, and apply existing bioinformatics approaches, to for integrative analysis of large scale genomics data sets that are generated in the Diao lab and the Alman lab. The datasets will include transcriptome, epigenome, chromatin accessibility, CRISPR screening data at both bulk and single cell levels. Results from these data analysis will be critical for us to understand the mechanism critical by which controls musculoskeletal regeneration and aging process, as well sarcoma tumorigenesis. Therefore, we expect the new hire will have strong expertise in computational biology, machine learning, and bioinformatics, as well as a proven track record of successful collaboration with biologists to apply these computational approaches to address biological questions.
Classification created to permit compensation to individuals performing scholastic research on Campus and in the Medical Center using University facilities without detailed supervision. The use of this classification is reserved for those who have either received a doctorate or have demonstrated equivalent professional attainment. This classification is administered on Campus through the Office of the Provost and in the Medical Center through the Office of the Chancellor for Health Affairs. It is not subject to the Wage and Salary system.
