About This Opportunity
We are currently accepting Expressions of Interest for potential future casual academic vacancies in Speech Pathology including classroom, simulation and Placement work. We are excited to hear from those who can contribute to the paediatric and adult range of practice in Speech Pathology for students enrolled in our BSpPath (Hons) and MSpPathSt courses.
The following activities will likely become available in the future:
Delivery and facilitation of face-to-face tutorials with students enrolled in various Speech Pathology courses;
Delivery and facilitation of external placement opportunities as a Practice (Clinical) Educator;
Delivery and facilitation of simulation-based learning experiences as a Practice (Clinical) Educator;
Marking of assessment
Any future vacancies will be on a casual basis. The casual rate would vary as per the work completed. Please click here to view our various casual academic pay scales. For further information, please review The University of Queensland's Enterprise Bargaining Agreement 2018-2021.
About You
Completion of a Speech Pathology qualification
Current membership with Speech Pathology Australia
Commitment to the development of future Speech Pathology professionals
The following would be considered desirable:
Previous experience in clinical education across either adult or paediatric range of practice areas
Prior involvement in tutorials, marking, student supervision or similar learning activities
Awareness of Professional Standards for Speech Pathologists in Australia
Familiarity with learning platforms and tools (e.g., Zoom, Padlet, Turnitin, Blackboard)
In addition, the following mandatory requirements would apply:
Work Rights: You must have unrestricted work rights in Australia for the duration of any future appointment to apply. Visa sponsorship is not available.
Mandatory Immunisations: It is a condition of employment for any future role that you will be required to provide evidence of immunisation against certain vaccine preventable diseases.
